The opportunity to complete my apprenticeship at McCann with Creative Alliance has opened the door for me to enter the advertising industry. I have learnt a lot from attending the structured weekly seminars, and these have helped with networking too. In addition, I have received practical experience in the workplace. My confidence has increased as a result of the projects I’ve been able to work on, and I think that working with Creative Alliance has helped me get better at public speaking and presenting.

Aldi ROI Back to School – Aldi Ireland’s Back to school ad
Producer which included:
- Providing a Production Quote for client so that costs are signed off for the go ahead of the job
- VO record with VO artist and sound mix
- Sourcing SFX (which are then run past creative)
- Purchasing stock footage
- Working alongside the editor to get all creative and client amends actioned and making sure they have all assets for the edit
- Clear communication with the Accounts team and Creative director to ensure that all amends are complete
- Communication with Accounts team regarding T&Cs, updated product packshots, updated price points
- Working to a strict deadline to ensure we meet the TX date
- Dispatching the edits to Clearcast and Adstream
About the Apprenticeship
A Production Assistant plays a crucial role in the seamless execution of screen and audio productions. By working closely with both editorial and technical teams, they ensure that every aspect of content delivery runs smoothly, from pre-production planning to the final cut.

For the Aldi Back to School campaign, Niamh sourced the creative elements needed for production alongside the project’s editors.
On another project, Niamh produced four edits for the Santander “One App” campaign. This included managing and liasing with the client, VO artists, session recoding sessions, and working with editors.
