Jake Jarvis is a film maker, actor, and director from Birmingham who has created several short films with the Open Theatre. Jake developed his love for film and acting from films like The Mask starring Jim Carrey. He loved the dramatics and theatrics within the film which, inspired him from young to want to create his own.
Jake got involved with the Open Theatre in school while they visited to work on a global project which, involved dancers and actors from around the world. Here he developed his skills as an actor appearing in plays which, supported him to develop his confidence and knowledge of stage production.
He was then encouraged by Richard Hayhow who was a long-time advocate to think about creating short film content. Jake loved the idea and began developing his ideas for film. He has now worked with several creatives to develop short films which, have been show cased at the open Theatre.
