Cassia is an award-winning screen writer and film director who began her journey into the creative industries at the age of 13. She moved schools into a whole new area and decided to reinvent herself. She began taking drama classes and then studied drama and dance for her GCSEs with media as an additional subject for her A levels. With a great interest in films and media Cassia decided to go into acting and went on to do a degree in drama and theatre arts at the University of Birmingham.

In her third year of Uni Cassia decided to make her own short film as there was no real opportunities for film making around campus. This encourage her to begin writing screen plays and sending them off to local theatre’s and anyone she thought would be interested in helping her to develop one. She joined theatre and script writing groups and continued writing. In her final year of university, she wrote a short a film which, she got produced as a play. This was her first official industry production.

Cassia then got into content creation and began making short films as well as continuing to write screen plays. She found a job working as an intern with a film director allowing her to gain more opportunities to produce her own work in theatre and TV winning multiple awards. She then formed her own screen writing group to create a support network for screen writers allowing them to produce work as a collective.
